SHUTTLE XPC SB65G2

Synonymous with the barebones market, Shuttle has carved a niche by providing enthusiasts exactly what they crave, but in mini form factored systems.

Loaded to the gills with features, the SB65G2 is the first shoebox sized machine to come through our Labs with integrated wireless connectivity, a big plus for anyone looking to use the machine as an Internet gateway or in the lounge where it can draw music and video from another PC in the house.

Other features of note include a full plethora of connectivity options, like USB and FireWire, as well as an AGP slot and Serial ATA. Shuttle's ICE cooler system is a little slower to install than normal P4 heatsinks, although it does a great job as a semi-passive heatsink fan (HSF).

Quality is also high, although the layout and accessibility internally were not as good as the likes of the Xcube EZ65 or QDI S668P4.

With plenty to crow about in the feature department, this is one to keep an eye out for if you can justify spending that bit extra in the name of size and technology.
