Product Brief: QNAP TS-119 II

The sheer excess of data the average user will collect in their time makes a NAS solution a viable option for many households. QNAP’s TS-119 II is a perfect entry level model, sporting a single bay that can accommodate drives of up to 3TB (it does not ship with a drive, however). The drive is easy to install or even hot swap should you wish too.

Set up is reasonably simple via QNAPs supplied software and the online user interface is quite elegant and feature heavy. The unit comes with an eSATA and three USB ports (not USB 2.0, sadly), making it easy to scale up storage or add devices.

With its small size and powerful list of features, the TS-119 II is a great option, and well worth the price.
