One Minute Review: Dell's Power Companion keeps your laptop running longer

Handy power you can take with you!

I f you own a Dell laptop, and many do, this rather impressive power brick is compatible with almost every recent consumer and enterprise product, including the XPS and Alienware range (but check the Dell site to see if yours is listed). It comes with the two standard AC connection plugs used across the Dell range to feed your device, and conversely, your laptop’s AC adaptor is used for recharging the Power Companion.

Besides the Dell power plugs, there are two USB-out ports so you can charge a couple of smartphones or non-Dell devices, too. It’s all a very complete and premium power brick and is far easier to carry around than a proper AC adaptor when travelling. We tested the 12,000mAh version. There’s also an 18,000mAh model. An LED display lets you know how much juice is left.

Depending on what you use this with, it might not actually CHARGE your laptop, but at least it will keep it running longer. A must for any travelling Dell owner.
