Well, this sucks. Earlier today, Telltale announced that it will be laying off some ninety employees, effectively immediately. According to the company, this is a part of a company-wide restructuring.
Reasons include moving onto more proven technology, which could help to "fast track" the creative process. There is no doubt that Telltale's engine has become very long in the tooth, and while a tech upgrade is overdue, it's hard to overlook the fact that ninety is a big number.
Meanwhile, somewhat sadisticly, you can click on the company tab over at Telltale's website for some information about how wonderful a place it is to work, with zero mention of, well, you know.
