Tech Deals: Get Comodo Internet Security Pro 2011 (RRP: $49.95) FREE for one year

Comodo Group has announced it’s giving away a free one year-license of Comodo Internet Security Pro 2011, worth $49.95.

Available for free download through our website, Comodo Internet Security Pro 2011 includes both anti-malware and firewall software, giving users comprehensive protection against viruses, spyware and other threats.

The free one year license includes remote security and system support through Comodo’s GeekBuddy service (free registration required) and Comodo TrustConnect.

Comodo Internet Security offers comprehensive protection against the latest threats. Thanks to cloud-based technologies, even brand new threats (often referred to as zero-day malware) can be processed and acted on before they’re able to wreak havoc on your system.

And if you’re still unsure about a program, use Comodo’s Sandbox to run it in a protected environment where it can’t do any damage. There’s a gaming mode to ensure the program doesn’t interfere with demanding applications, plus – of course – traditional anti-malware and firewall protection.

All of this protection is available in Comodo Internet Security Premium, which is completely free. However, the Pro version, which scored a four-star review, boasts a number of exclusive features that make this one-year giveaway exceptional value.

First up is TrustConnect. This creates a secure, encrypted VPN that allows you to connect safely to the internet even through insecure networks, such as public wi-fi hotspots. There’s also access to real-time, chat-based support for any problem you may have thanks to the GeekBuddy service. US residents get an even better deal: if you subsequently become infected and Comodo isn’t able to resolve your problem, you get up to $500 towards your repair bills.

Comodo Internet Security Pro 2011 is a limited free download for PCs running Windows XP, Vista and 7, and includes one year’s free subscription to updates, protection and other services.
