Rumours suggest new alcantara keyboard options and Surface Pen colours.
Microsoft has been tight tight-lipped what we are likely to see at tomorrow's Shanghai event, but it's more than likely that we will see an update to the Surface range.
One of those updates could be refreshed selection of Surface Pro keyboards, at least according to a teaser by Panos Panay, Microsoft's corporate VP of devices.
A Tweet on Sunday shows what appears to be new typecovers featuring the 'alcantara' fabric, the same material used in the upcoming Surface Laptop and the 'Signature' model keyboard on the Surface Pro 4.
The colours appear to be the same as those available for standard keyboard options, only this time using the premium material.
The official teaser follows the leak of images showing what appears to be the Surface Pro 5. If genuine, it will be more of an update to the Surface Pro 4 rather than a complete redesign, featuring new colour options for the Surface Pen, as well as the updated keyboard range. It also looks like Microsoft has decided against a USB Type-C connector, much like the Surface Laptop, despite the growing popularity of the format.
Although the Surface Pro 5 may look very much like its predecessor, which is no bad thing, it is more than likely that the internals will have received an update, most notably in an effort to increase battery life.
