PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds gets MA 15+ classification in Australia

Looks like the Xbox version of the hit shooter is getting that much closer.

Well this is curious - the Australian Classification Board has just announced an MA 15+ classification for super-massive hit game Playerunknown's Battlegrounds.

Curious, we say, because the Publisher put forward on the announcement is Microsoft Studios, and the Applicant was Microsoft itself. The PC version is published by Bluehole Interactive, so this must be the long-awaited Xbox One version of the game.

Do we have a release date? Well, no, there's nothing like that listed, but this would be one of the final steps before a wider release into any market, but we do know that it will be coming this year. At a guess - this will be a November release

For those curious, the game earned its rating due to 'strong violence' and 'online interactivity'.

Thank you to AusVideoGameClassifications on twitter for the heads-up.
