A bit of Steam detective work reveals the probability of a PC release of the Xbox Arcade title.
I’m a big fan of Remedy Entertainment games and, considering their last game that wowed me—Max Payne 2—was released in 2003, I’ve been particularly enjoying Alan Wake, of late. Sure, the Xbox 360 game was flawed, but I’m currently playing through the PC version and have sunk dozens of hours into the Xbox 360 version of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare because the horde mode is utterly freakin’ addictive.
There’s one key way that American Nightmare could be better: if it was released on PC. According to DSOGaming, the same website that discovered evidence of a PC version of Alan Wake, there’s a Steam registry entry for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. Seeing as this was the same way they sniffed out the PC adaptation of the original Alan Wake, it stands to reason that they’re on the money with this discovery, too.
Here’s to hoping that Remedy Entertainment follows up this bit of detective work with an official announcement; the sooner, the better.
I’ll definitely be getting American Nightmare on PC if it’s released. Will you?
