Apple’s next gen iPad Pros are tipped to get some premium, iPhone X-like upgrades.
The internet is hotting up with tips and leaks aplenty regarding the new iPad Pros for 2018. And, if recent reports are anything to go by, the next gen iPad Pros will get some seriously snazzy upgrades.
What's more, the new iOS 12 beta has dropped some tantalising clues as to what the iPad Pro for 2018 will look like. A small blue icon has been discovered in iOS 12 beta 5, which reveals an iPad with slim bezels, and no Home button or notch. This becomes particularly apparent when you compare the new icon with the one it's replacing, the former of which shows comparatively hefty bezels and a clearly distinguishable Home button. What we can glean from this is that Apple will be sticking to its minimalist guns, possibly delivering the most pared-down iPad Pro yet.
The icon in question is part of the battery usage UI, and appears to show the iPad Pro devoid of a notch. If this is the case, it will likely mark a signficant deviation from the design of 2018's iPhone models – which we envisage being the iPhone 9 and the iPhone 11 – which are all rumoured to have notches. Only time will tell, but Apple's inaugural September release period is edging ever nearer.
