Crucial launches new MX300 range of high performance SSDs

Available in a range of capacities up to 1TB.

Crucial has just added a new range of solid state drives to its storage lineup.

The high perfomance MX300 range feature Micron 3D TLC NAND technology, AES 256-bit hardware encryption, RAIN technology for storing data in multiple drive locations, Data Defense to stop file corruption, and Adaptive Thermal Protection for keeping your PC cool.

Crucial also claims that the MX300 range is 90 times more energy efficient than a typical hard drive. Performance of the range is rated at 530MB/s read, and 510MB/s write speeds across a range of file types.

The drives are available now in 275GB, 525GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities in a 2.5in form factor, and an M.2 2280 form factor in late August.

We're awaiting local pricing, but will have that shortly.
