Sad news from out of nowhere that is also not hugely unexpected.
Maybe you've heard of Boss Key? The studio was founded four years ago by Cliff Bleszinski, the main man behind Gears of War. It seemed a bold move at the time, but hardly a completely crazy one - the impact of Gears in the previous generation is difficult to overstate, and we larely assumed that whatever came next would find an audience.
That game, Law Breakers, got lost in a tide of fantastic releases, however, and while the studio also managed to recently get out Radical Heights to capatalise on the so-hot-right-now Battle Royal sub-genre, the statement released by Bleszinski acknowledges that this was simply too little, too late.
It is also noted that the servers for Radical Heights will remain open for the 'near future'. So, a little time left if that one grabbed you?
Whatever the case, this is the end of the studio, and we certainly hope that all affected find meaningful employment again in the near future.
