BenQ's new BL2711U monitor is aimed at creators

Animators, CAD designers, editors, and artists take note.

While BenQ is targeting gamers with its Zowie range, the company is also currying favour with those of a more creative bent with the new BL2711U Designer Monitor.

The BL2711U is a 27in, 4K-capable (3840x2160) display aimed firmly at designers and engineers. It boasts 100 per cent sRGB on a 10-bit IPS panel - the monitor can accurately render over one billion hues. It also supports the Rec. 709 colour space.

The monitor also has a dedicated CAD/CAM mode designed for viewing wireframe designs in programs such as AutoCad. And Animation Mode boosts display brightness across ten levels of adjustment so designers can what they see on-screen. There also optimisations for video editors and graphics artists that give them more on-screen space for editing tools.

The BL2711U is available now, and retails for $849.
