Microsoft moves masses of motion control

On the back of Black Friday weekend, America’s post-Thanksgiving shopping day splurge, Microsoft has announced healthy sales of its Kinect sensor, shifting 2.5 million units worldwide in the first 25 days since it launched.

According to the bean counters at Redmond it means the Kinect is on track to hit its Christmas target of 5 million units. It took Sony one month to shift 2.5 million PlayStation Move controllers globally so Microsoft has a slight edge in the hand-free console skirmish in the run up to Xmas.

But where do your motion controlling alliances lie? Will it be a Kinect or Move Christmas for you? Let us know.
