Postbug - making games, making music for games, and what we can learn

Learn about game making, music, and maybe even get a little playtime in at the same time!

Meghann O'Neill has a unique and unusual skillset, being teacher, musician, games reviewer and mum. Amazingly, The Australian Institute of Music in Sydney has been helping her create the perfect niche from which to share her knowledge. In Trimester 1 of 2016, they successfully ran the first Videogame Ensemble, which aims to provide industry experience in a supportive, realistic and demonstrable way.

When Meghann offered to write about this experience, she felt that a more... unique approach was called for, rather than a traditional article. She has built a site that is a collection of reflections, lessons learned and personal stories about building structures that support creative people, through the process of making music for George Hemingway's Postbug, over twelve weeks, with six Bachelor of Composition students.

Whether you come for inspiration, music or simply to play this hilariously difficult Boulder Dash style game about mail delivery, we hope you leave renewed and ready to create.
