Editor's Note
Hello everybody,
Another week has passed and we have a treasure trove of downloads to impress ye download hunters. Perched on top of the pack and competing for lofty boasting rights is the much fancied 'Pidgin', and we're not talking about your typical feather rodents either. Pidgin is a mult-client chat/email/do-everything software for those who want their message programs to promise the world. Does it deliver? Download and find out.
And now that the Olympics is over, we're sure you'll want to find something else on TV to keep you interested. So, we're giving you the option to download a handy little program called ProgDVB which can access sattellite TV and radio from around the world. Be it Swedish gameshows or German reality TV, you can also record the various Audio/Video streams in different digital-media formats to show your friends.
And finally, Panda (the antivirus company) have finally released their 2009 edition. Is the Virus threat real? Should you be worried? Are we chasing ghosts (like pacman)? For those answers and more, take a look at PC Authority's headline story this month in the magazine. Or for those seeking more cuddly answers, download Panda 2009 and feel about yourself and your PC.
Have a great week,
PC Authority
