iiNet subscribers will now have access to TiVo downloads without incurring download fees

The unmetered option from iiNet marks another coup for TiVo subscribers who also have similar deals from the likes of  Internode and AAPT - making TiVo one of the few Australian Video On Demand services delievered with a comprehensive number of ISPs offering unmetered downloads.

TiVo has been steadily making in-roads into the growing set top box market in Australia - Blockbuster Movies On-Demand being one of the offerings made available to users.

With iiNet due to join the unmetered ranks in November, TiVo now has one of the biggest Australian ISPs on its books - with only Telstra the obvious odd one out.

TiVo are also one of the first DVR providers to market with a 1TB recorder, teaming up with Western Digital to provide a special separately purchased external 1TB 'Expander drive'.

TiVo has long been battling the likes of Foxtel's IQ2. At one point you could even order Dominos pizza through TiVo, but it seems that option is no longer available.

For more information about TiVo services, be sure to read our TiVo FAQ or visit the official TiVo website.

According to the tivo website - optus and aapt do not offer unmetered downloads of tivo! A bit more research required before writing your articles please. The current 3 isps are - Internode, Adam internet and Iprimus. AAPT will probably claim that with their unlimited ownloads in off peak, that yes you can have tivo dopwmloads unmetered from aapt - just as they claim that they provide unmetered downloads for foxtel download!
Could you please advise why you believe that optus offers an unmetered service - when a check of their website reveals that neither tivo or unmetered are even part of their website!
Please explain.
