I have got two routers
Netgear Cable Modem router , I tried to use my laptops (Toshiba XP SP3) with two different wireless cards, built-in and USB stick (Netgear WG111 v2),,,both of them are working fine.
Then I tried to use the same laptop Toshiba (XP SP3) on another router (NetComm NB5 ADSL2+) which is on different ISP ,,,,Laptop’s built-in wireless is working fine, but netgear wireless USB stick did not work!!!!!
Although I am pretty sure that wireless settings are correct.
I tried another netgear wireless USB stick,,,,still same issue.
What could be causing this problem going on ?
I tried to use netgear wireless USB stick on a desktop still I can not get them work

did you try drivers? seems like an obvious question but google it and alot of netgear users seem to be having driver issues.

If it a driver issue why it works with one router and it does not work with another router. It should not have worked on both routers from the first place. And if it driver issue, do you thing this issue will be on two computers on the same time ?

Also, don't forget to update firmware on the routers.
My instincts would be to suggest that perhaps the drivers and/or control software for the onboard wireless is interfering with the USB stick's drivers. Make sure you're using WIreless Zero Configuration utility (The built in windows one) to connect. Disable the onboard wireless network adapter (Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Right click onboard wireless adapter -> Disable). Restart PC (Not neccessary, but it clears up stuff and may make a difference) and then put USB card in. Try that.
