The Linksys WAG160N is a good looking, inexpensive Gateway/N Wireless Router.
It gets consistently good reviews from on-line and magazine writers.
If you look at the Linksys Community Forums, however, you will see that users' real world experience is nowhere near as rosy.
In my case, any computers connected wired have good internet and workgroup access. Wireless computers can only see the internet, not workgroup file and print resources. Wireless Vista computers cannot get an IP address via DHCP.
Support for the WAG160N has recently dissapeared from Linksys's websites (AU, NZ, UK & US).
Perhaps Linksys is working on a killer firmware upgrade that will fix all our problems. It hasn't told anyone and the telephone and chat support people don't know about it.
Let the buyer beware!
