Hey,

First post!

Alrighty, so on friday i finially decided to upgrade my old 17" Philips LCD to a new 22" LG W2252TQ (which had been praised in a recent PC Authority article). Ok so i got the screen home and loaded it up to find ONE blue stuck pixel. I thought that i would just get to live with it but after about an hour of gaming it was really starting to annoy me. So i went back and returned the monitor and got replacement LG W2252TQ. Got home, banged it in and ANOTHER blue stuck pixel. I was pretty annoyed at LG by this time so i returned it back again. The monitor was such a pretty thing to look at but it had this one pixel that wasnt working right. So i returned it and got a Samsung 2253lw, and so far no dodgy pixels!

Anyway so i was just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with this LG monitor in particular?

Thanks,

Ben

Hey Benneb2

As an old man around here (all of 4 weeks) let me say...welcome Smile

I haven't had a problem with this particular LG model, but have had burn in issues with the model a couple of generations before - we have two of them at work (the rest are acer and are fine) and they both have issues. Could be just coincidence?!? The funny thing is all of my other LG stuff works fine i.e. dvd player, washing machine, microwave...just the monitors at work...odd.

If your interested Benneb2 I have started this -> post on exactly this problem, I'd like to hear your thoughts

Cheers

I have a few friends with LG Monitors and they haven't had any issues like yours mate!

Who knows?! Maybe the ppl at the store gave you the same monitor back Wink

I'm actually using a Chimei/CMV 22" LCD. Bloody cheap and bloody good!

So far we've seen three W2252TQ monitors, on three different systems in the labs, and they've all looked pretty good.
