whoops...
So in situations like this I'd throw a windows XP cd in his direction and leg it!

Cool, I'll take a look at that thread now. I'd actually be interested in trying that out. It could come in handy when troubleshooting a server with a buggered OS or disk. Well we do have network boots for that, but it LOOKS cooler throwing a USB stick in there.. and well that's what it's all about Wink

Not touching that one NatEek! Silenced

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Ask questions. There's no such thing as a stupid one, just stupid answers. (mostly)

By the way Joe, at the top of the page, under the "add reply" an "new topic" buttons, you'll see, in red, almost unreadable, "options" Click on that and sellect watch this topic to get email notification of updates to a thread. Go back to it to unsubscribe when you've had enough.

heh my "forum fight" sense is tingling!

So just out of curiosity, what makes you say you like OS X server?
And what's wrong with being a Linux hater Tongue
I hate what I want and I'm proud of it! Damn you iTunes!

I like OS X Server because it's 100 times simpler to use (for what I want it for) than Windows and is alot more robust. I accidently unplugged a PowerMac set up as a server one time as it was connected to a few hundred clients and it just laughed at me and rebooted. I did the same thing with in Windows and the machine never turned back on. Cry

I don't hate Linux, it just doesn't offer anything over XP so I don't see the point in installing an otherwise redunant operating system alongside a functional one. Some people like Linux because they don't get viruses...I just avoid porn websites and freeware. Has about the same effect. Big Smile!

Hahaha poor windows server!
Yeah I have to admit, I find all OS' have their usefulness in specific situations. I'll admit, Linux OS' at home just don't appeal to me.
I mean how can you argue with Windows.. It's EVERYWHERE, everything's made for it, and well it's just easy to use.

Don't get me wrong Linux is great and stuff. But I prefer it in my work environment where I CAN fiddle around with it.
I prefer Solaris on the servers at work. I find the windows servers are a little more troublesome to use with drivers and remote access and so on.
I'd be quite interested in trying OS X Server out. I like to try out new things and see how they compare.
