BitTorrent is incredibly well known, but there are literally hundreds of places where you can download it, along with some other crap (like the Yahoo Toolbar for example) that will only become apparent when you go to install it... Easy, download it from a trusted source. I've never had issues with downloading free software. Because there are trusted sites doesn't mean the 'untrusted' one just dissapear. They're still out there and many of them proclaim to be trustworthy, although that is entirely beside the original point. Btw, I've never had any problems with freeware either, although I've not downloaded a huge amount of it. However, I imagine if I tried to run critical things like AV off free-ware, then I would. Jim, after Nat's done with him
Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from. Ask questions. There's no such thing as a stupid one, just stupid answers. (mostly)

But when I was using '03 back there, I never get a virus with it either...

I don't need calming. I don't know what answer you want, so I'm not going to bother trying. Like I said, good luck with the computer.
