Just ran the WINDOWS 7 UPGRADE ADVISOR - apparently my 2 year old Vista machien meets the 4 minimum system specs to allow me to upgrade to windows 7 premium. the only issue seems to be that windows mail is no longer supplied with windows 7. so what are the choices if you want an email program on your desktop - or does everyone have to move to an email system on the net?
is this a particularly safe option?
if i intend to keep my current machien for only another 9 months, why should i spend money upgrading to windows 7? i have had no problems with vista

Upgrading is up to you. If you find Vista fine, then there's no real reason to spend the extra money. FYI, Windows Live Mail works on Windows 7. That'd do the trick.
