help! my laptop is a Toshiba A200 satellite (not pro) model/part number A200 PSAF3A-0QJO6D, since upgrading to windows 7 RC1 my webcam does not work, this is not a driver issue but the camera assistant software not being installed as it is with XP.Toshiba online support lists a plethora of downloads for their laptops for Windows 7RC1 Chicony 2.0 camera assistant software support but not mine, can anyone tell me is it possible to use a download for any of the other A200's if you look at Toshiba's website they appear to be very specific about what models are supported and the relevant downloads, any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi mortonian.
you might like to try a new technique we're trialling on the site.
We call it punctuation.
It makes it easier to figure out what people are saying, thereby making it easier to help them with their problems.
Used in conjunction with the F7 key we've seen some amazing results.
Now, as to your problem as I understand it.
Download a software bundle for the A200, set a restore point, install the software, try it out and if it stuffs things up, roll your system back to the restore point.
Oh, and I tidied up your double post thingy.
Cheers.
Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.
Ask questions. There's no such thing as a stupid one, just stupid answers. (mostly)
