Any chance of getting the sign-up system sorted to stop the influx of tools and tossers spaming the forums. Put in measures to kill bots and maybe even set the system so the one responsible dont stay anonymous.

Great idea Bengi Think It would be better/safer for the forums, especially for the newer/not so savvy members... I've noticed some of the spamming trolls on here.

1 time signup/posters - for their warez Sad

The installation of a CAPTCHA is the first way to kill bots, the other of restricting places that can be posted when being on the site for only minutes is good too. The e-mail confirmation to signup aint working...
The user-comments to articles should be directed to a single forum where the trolls and post whores can stay mind you, setting this area to automaticlly display the poster's sign-in e-mail addy or IP for the random, non-member comment posts.

The forums have alot of potential when you figure that they are backed by the mag. Maybe more time from the admins is needed to entice more readers to get online and involved.

Lost-Benji, qt101, thanks for the suggestions. I've put these to the tech team here to see what can be done. In the meantime we're removing more spam threads and posters. Appreciate everyone's concern/suggestions

How about logging the certified users (now there's a thought) so we don't have to go through CAPTCHA?

CAPTCHA would only be needed for initial sign-up to stop bots auto-signing up and spamming.

Pro-active mods are still the best way to clean.

Benji's got nothing to worry about. He's already certifiedlol

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Ask questions. There's no such thing as a stupid one, just stupid answers. (mostly)
