Existing Foxtel cistomers will not be foprced to get IQ. They face a $2 per month increase in fee. If you check the programs available for download, unless you have the movie packages - there are very few options to download. Also, it is not clear which isps will allow you to download foxtel programs without affecting your monthly limit. This is a big problem with the download system. Foxtel download assists if you do not have multi room or IQ inallowing you to catch up with a program you missed because - your partner / kids wanted to watch something else, or you were out at the time. i do want to try foxtel download - not good is thaty the program is designed for IE 6 or 7 - not safari or chrome and not even ie 8! Not sure what they were thinking at foxtel when they developed this program. Comment made about the PC Authority article: Picking the Perfect Home Entertainment Box: Is Foxtel Download worth getting excited about?? Freeview and Foxtel are currently vying for our attention, but I'd say Foxtel's biggest threat is the internet. Like me, many people spend $50 to $100 on internet access each month in lieu of getting pay TV.What do you think? Join the discussion.

Internet is still the way to go. At least I get to see my teams play not what Foxtel choices to show...

OK Nerdboy you dont like poker, I do, and I know a lot of people who enjoy playing and watching poker just as much as any other entertainment.
Poker is very popular in Australia and around the world.
Please ONE HD more of the great poker shows in 1080p.

Sport might be the draw card over pay TV, but depending on what you like, these days you can generally get some sort of game pass on your pc for NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB that I know of, which usually has the sport in HD, and you can play it back on demand. Obviously these services cost, but $250/season for every game beats shelling out $50+ a month on sports when you probably only get 2-3 games a week and only sometimes see the team you want to see.
