Thanks for everyone's patience during the recent spam influx. Accounts have been banned, topics deleted, etc. Special thanks to Slatts for identifying them and bringing them to our attention.

Heh, recent spam influx? It's been like this for ages. I've just been busy for the last couple of days. On that note, I won't be around for a while. Spam clean up isn't very high on my priority list anymore.

Farewall to the half a dozen active members on here! Perhaps you guys will be able to expand the community. Until then, I have a degree to get.

Thanks for everyone's concern - who knew file converters were such big business. We're removing posts and deleting threads, and speaking to the tech team about what can be done. hang in there, let's see if we can clean things up for you. And we hope to see you around Cyber, you've been a great contributor to the site.

hi mordie. The technical admins have been in touch to let me know they have added a captcha to the registration form for PCA. Hopefully this will ease the spam problem, but we're watching to see how it goes. Thanks again for all your feedback and suggestions.

well, that doesn't seem to have done much.

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Ask questions. There's no such thing as a stupid one, just stupid answers. (mostly)

Yeah, I just noticed Sad
2-3 more spam threads overnight.

Funny though, whether I need that software or not, I'd now never buy it, just because of how they're trying to advertise it.

We (the site that is) need a pool of moderators.
It's obvious the owners of the site see it as a set and forget enterprise.
I'm surprised they haven't received any please explain letters from AFACT regarding the DRM defeating spam.
I hope my anti AFACT posts don't cause AFACT to take a closer look at the forums here.Anxious

I am glad I read this. I was about to Chime in on a thread about Defeating DRM and inform the poster how wrong it was to be posting such information. Now after re reading it, it is likely Spam. I could not beleive someone would post such information Shame on you

Although it's probably a tad premature to say the war's been won it seems that some serious progress has been made.

It'll help if anyone who spots a sus post reports it suing the "report" button at the top of the post.

We all want to see an end to this crap so any help will be appreciated.

Are you finished dodging rocks Nat?
