Before you start posting, remember . . .

• This forum area is created for users to post their own reviews of tech they own. For technical help, and general chat about Software, post in the main Software Forum.

• Check if someone has already reviewed your product, as it’s best to post your review under an existing one, instead of starting a new thread. Search the forums by clicking here. OR, if PC Authority has already reviewed your product you’ll find it by searching in the main search bar at the top of the page. You can add a user review by clicking the “User Review” tab on any review page.

• Make your review easy to find. Use the name of the product when choosing a “Subject” for the new review thread. Be specific and use full model numbers such as ”Acronis True Image 8.0".

• Provide some detail about why you think the product is good or bad. Maybe you've had a specific issue that you can share. How does it compare to other similar products you’ve owned? What features do you like/dislike? If you were to recommend a product in this category to others, what advice would you give? The more details you give, the better.

• Use bullet points/headings. Common subheadings used in tech reviews include Features, Specs, Performance, Value.

• Remember, help others, don’t shout. If you want to get something off your chest about a bad product, reasoned arguments with examples are going to be more helpful to people reading your advice, and will go a long way to helping others avoid the same mistake.
