Our technology innovator shortlist for 2007 includes some phenomenal strides in technology. From the touchscreen wonders of the iPhone and iPod touch, to the technological nous involved in Quad-core and 45nm processor developments, VAIO battery life and the massive memory keys of SanDisk, we considered everything from flashy to, well, flash. And we weren’t above considering software innovations, with Microsoft’s Vista and its reinvention of Office, via the Ribbon, earning it a spot on the shortlist.
Intel has been blasting out technology after technology this year, including Santa Rosa and Penryn. Ultimately, though, Asus most impressed us with its bold concepts, unveiled at Computex but especially for fulfilling the dream of a cheap, lightweight laptop for all with the Eee PC.
