*Great image quality.
*Great movie quality.
*Good, sensible placement of dials/buttons.
*Very good anti shake lenses.
*Clear and precise view finder.
*Too many features to wrap mind around.
*Flash is useless on such a camera for serious photography.
*No card came with it, something most Digital cameras now days don't, but should with such cost involved.
I have now had the this camera with the two lense deal, and can honestly say I'm on a winner. It has features that I doubt I'll ever use, but others that I find increadible, like VR lenses, no shaky pictures below 1/60sec anymore as one example. Sure, others have that, but movies, couldn't believe the clarity.
I have had over 1500 pictures out of it so far, so can say without doubt, what quality a camera should produce in it's rendition of image, and this camera has great looking images.
Only gripe I have, is that there are so many features, and so many functions, the manual is as big as a dictionary (kind of), you really have to read the book and look at each feature as you do to take it all in, which I still haven't, but still, have had a lot of fun and a lot of good/great images.
It could be said to be a camera that is neither amateur nor professional, but is for both, as it has something in it for all.
Generous time exposure, hah, more than generous, have to ask 'how long do you want', should answer that question. As for low light photography, once mastered, it has excellent image quality. Don't bother with the on camera flash, it's not powerful enough for any serious photography, but found that inside at distance, (200mm lense at full length), even without the strength of the flash, only had to render it in Photoshop on one setting to adjust brightness and bingo, great image. No noise at 10x8 size at all; picture quality set at medium.
Great job Nikon!
