Sleeker than the original, this BlackBerry continues the messaging workhorse tradition we've come to expect.
The 7130g is RIM’s latest phone-sized BlackBerry, available on the Vodafone network and others. Following on from the 7100 series, the shiny black fascia can’t disguise the fact that it remains a chunky device at 560mm wide, so typing is a two-handed job. However, at 120g, it’s still light enough to slip into a pocket.

Intel’s 312MHz XScale CPU keeps everything moving along swiftly, which makes the 7130g ideal for firing off emails and texts during a commute, and the bright, clear screen is excellent even in strong daylight. The keyboard does take some getting used to and there’s no touchscreen, but the enduring appeal of push email and dedication to a single task mean it’s a superb one-size-fits-all messaging centre.
