Two new advanced technology headphones from Creative, for home and portable listening.
Creative has announced its long awaited A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth) headphones. The wireless SL3100 headphones are designed to mate with the companies Zen range of portable music players, featuring a remote for volume and track selection.
A2DP is a new wideband version of Bluetooth, designed to offer superior audio quality via wireless. Creative has enhanced the headphones performance with a frequency-hopping technology it has dubbed Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH). AFH functions to reduce static from other nearby devices using the same band as the headphones.
The headphones feature a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and automatically power off when the Bluetooth link is lost.
SL3100 headphones have an RRP of $199.95

The $170.95 headphones are designed specifically for 5.1 surround sound, featuring a built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoder, a world-first, the company claims. The decoder unit supports an additional headphone connection, driving two headphones from the main unit.
The decoder is battery powered and 10 hours of playback is claimed for two AA batteries.
