While Apple and Samsung do battle in the courtrooms over copyright, Samsung has working double-time to find newideas to push forward to tablet market. This drive for a game-changing design has brought to light news of the rumoured Samsung P10 tablet. The P10 seems set to take on Apple's mos-powerful weapon - the iPad's Retina Display - with a stunning 2560x1600 11.8in screen, as well as the new Exynos 5 Dual processor we reported yesterday.
While Apple’s iPad Retina Display has 264ppi into a 9.7in screen, the P10 will pack in 256ppi into a larger 11.8in screen – displays being an area that Samsung cerrtainly has some experience in. Then there’s the =Exynos 5 Dual chip (dual core as the name suggests) which Samsung is suggesting will be nearly twice as fast as the current A9.
Theoretically, this means you could have a 1080p video running, with a UI overlay, and have a camera preview active, encode video at the same time, and all while outputting to a separate display via HDMI. There's not many scenarios where anyone would want to do that on a tablet (and we'll reserve judgement on what that could do to your battery life) but it certainly indicates that Samsung are serious about power. When you factor in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean it seems like Samsung is definitely looking to keep its crown as the king of Android tablets, complete with the flagship of the fleet.
