'XXXL' sale at Dick Smith this Saturday
Save up to 50% on select Dick Smith electronics, including laptops, GPS, digital radios and PC peripherals.

Struggling retail chain Dick Smith has announced a one-day ‘XXXL Sale' at its onsite stores this Saturday 26th May.

For one day only, the electronics specialists will slash up to 50-per cent off selected technology products, including laptops, home theatres, GPS units, home networking gear, headphones, MP3 players, video game consoles and more. 

Some of the savings announced by Dick Smith include (list below supplied by Dick Smith):

  • Up to 30% off laptops
  • 30% off GPS and Digital Radios (excludes PVR models)
  • 40% off all home networking and keyboards, mice, headsets and webcams (excludes Apple branded products and pre-paid  wireless broadband)
  • 40% off headphones and portable DVD players (excluding gaming headsets)
  • 40% of all MP3 players (excluding iPod)
  • 40% off Energizer batteries
  • 50% off Dick Smith memory cards and batteries (excludes Dick Smith AA 40 pack)
  • 50% off all antennas, Dick Smith branded AV senders and Philips Universal remotes, all cables including HDMI, Audio, Antenna and computer cables (excludes Apple branded products)

We also spotted a Philips Blu-ray home theatre system for $149 and a 320GB PlayStation 3 with two bonus games and an extra controller for $384. 

It's worth noting that Dick Smith hasn't released much info in regard to specific models or brands, so be prepared for the possbility of a non-event, like this one at Harvey Norman was. Naturally, stock is expected to be limited so it might be worth setting your alarm clock too.
