Meet the amazing pint-sized Optimus Prime that's sure to be the downfall of cats everywhere.

If you're the proud owner of an original 1984 Optimus Prime then look away now, for your most prized possession is about to fall flat under the weight of modern tech.

Kenji Ishida from JS Robotics in Japan has created a mini transforming red sports car, whose 22 motors results in a drivable and self-transforming robot, without you having to lift a finger.

It's every little (and big) kid's dream come true and we're keeping our fingers crossed for a life-sized model soon – preferably one that can bring the shopping in for us automatically.
