Microsoft has released a subscription-based Xbox 360 bundle that delivers HD gaming thrills at a cheaper price. Well, sort of.
Available at 21 US-based Microsoft Stores, the 4GB Xbox/Kinect bundle costs $99 up front. Customers must also commit to a 24-month Xbox Live Gold subscription at $15 per month.
As Kotaku points out, that’s a total of $459, as opposed to $420 if you paid full price for the Xbox 360 console, Kinect and two years of Xbox Live Gold. So this deal is actually pricier in the long run.
