Packing Aurasma's awesome augmented reality tech, this Marvel app lets you access content by pointing your iPhone at your back catalogue of comics. You can get 3D models of Marvel heroes, extra artwork and creator commentary videos for titles like Avengers vs X-Men #1.
The idea that working out and hours of gaming might have anything in common shocked us at first but Fitocracy's gamified fitness app could prove motivation to do a few more crunches. There's quests to complete, achievements to unlock and tons of people to compare yourself to. Your goal? To 'slay the laziness dragon'.
Fibble is like Crysis but with less shooting and more rolling cartoon aliens around in the middle of oversized household objects. OK the only thing it has in common with Crysis and Far Cry is that it's made by Crytek. The graphics are great and Fibble has a nice Pinball meets Crazy Golf concept.
Propellerhead's music creation app is meant for on-the-go composing and the simple UI plus easy to control 'instruments' mean it's a fun intro to app-based looping and tweaking. Be warned though, you can't record your tracks – Figure is all about the fun of making them.
