Product highlights include a 22.3MP full-frame CMOS sensor, DiG!C 5+ processor, a 61-point High Density Reticular AF system, multiple exposure modes, an ISO range of 100-25600, an inbuilt HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode and 6fps (frames-per-second) continuous shooting

Canon's "once in a decade" DSLR.

"The EOS 5D Mark III sets a new benchmark in the high-performance DSLR camera category," said Chris Macleod, Canon EOS Brand Manager. "[It] has the speed, control, and agility to capture everything from landscapes and moving wildlife to portraits and weddings."

The camera is also geared towards filmmakers, with a Full HD EOS Movie mode which reduces colour artefacts and moiré. Guests at the event were treated to a short movie shot entirely on EOS 5D Mark III cameras.

"Its added ability to shoot full HD movies makes it a truly indispensable photographic tool to take your photography to the next level," Macleod said.
