Acer Iconia 700 quad-core tablet revealed
The 1080p HD tablet will come packing Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core power.

Details of Acer's Iconia 700 tablet have leaked, with details of the follow-up to the Iconia 500 appearing on the company's own support pages. The Iconia 700's looking set to take on the Asus Transformer Prime, packing the power of Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor as well as a full 1080p HD display into its frame. Acer is even planning a 3G version that’ll go by the imaginative name of Iconica 701.

Other than that, details are scarce (as you may have noticed from the Iconia 500 picture above), but we expect a 2012 release with Ice Cream Sandwich on board. Acer's leaking like a sieve at the moment, with details of its Iconia A510 and A511 Tegra 3 tablets popping up in recent days.

If the Acer Iconia 700 is the same spec as the Asus Transformer Prime – but cheaper – will you be tempted by the 700 over its keyboard-packing rival? Let us know in the comments section below.
