Australians who purchase selected Bravia TVs from today until December 24 will receive a free 12-month subscription to the Quickflix channel, with unlimited on-demand access to the streaming WatchNow movie library.
For existing Bravia IPTV owners, the Quickflix movie service will cost $14.99 a month; which means you're saving around $180.
In addition to Quickflix, Sony today launched another IPTV service dubbed VICE TV, a youth culture channel providing full length features and documentaries on topics such as music, fashion, sports and arts.
“The addition of Quickflix and Vice TV to our growing collection of channels continues to add value to the Sony hardware range," said Sharon Ashworth, Content Partnership Manager, Sony Australia.
Quickflix has also announced plans to roll out its movie streaming service to PCs, Macs and the PlayStation 3 video game console by the end of the year.
