Updated: Battlefield 3 pre-orders near three million, Australian street date broken
One of the most hotly-anticipated PC games of the year is also set to be one of the best-selling.

Battlefield 3 isn't due to hit stores until tomorrow, but it's already shaping up to be one of the best-selling games of the year. At the time of writing, the game has already sold close to three million copies via pre-orders.

EA Games has also released a final trailer to coincide with the game's release at the end of the week (October 27). It focuses on the single player campaign which follows the exploits of Marine Sergeant Black. Here it is below:

UPDATE: It has been reported that Battlefield 3 has broken its Australian street date, with Target, JB Hi-Fi and other retailers selling the game from today (Oct 26). This is according to a JB Hifi Chatswood representative who spoke to games website Kotaku. We'll keep you updated with an official confirmation if/when it happens. In the meantime, pay a visit to your nearest JB Hi-Fi/Target store and see if you can get a copy!
