We expect a few people will be frantically checking prices at Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi today. Online electronics retailer Kogan is advertising a free Kogan TV if you can find "a better advertised price for a LCD or LED TV" at either rival shops.
As you'd expect, there's some fine print attached. The TV has to "have the same features", which means it has to be the same size, panel type (LED or LCD). The Kogan site also states the TV must have the same resolution and feature set, listing HD, Full HD, and built-in DVD as examples, which might narrow down the field a bit.
Kogan hasn't listed an end date on the promotion, but says it reserves the right to close the promotion at its discretion. It says customers should check the Kogan web site before making a claim to see if the offer is still open.
The Kogan web site also states one claim only can be made per person. It also states you'll need to allow two months from the date of claim to receive your gift.
There are various other terms and conditions - go to the Kogan site to read the rest.
Given Kogan's self proclaimed reputation for low prices, we'll be interested to hear from anyone who actually manages to receive a free TV from this offer.
