With Ultrabook laptops around the corner, things are about to get interesting if you're hunting for a thin and light laptop.
We've complained a bit about the state of laptop design at the cheap end of the market. One of the exceptions over the years has been the ThinkPad range, which is known for sturdy, understated design, and better than average keyboards.
If you're in the market for a new laptop, you can pickup a small discount on a ThinkPad today on the Lenovo web site. Highlights include:
- 13.3in ThinkPad Edge 320 for $449.10 with discount. This has Intel's 2nd generation Core i3 chip and weighs 1.74Kg.
- 11.6in ThinkPad x121e (Enhanced) for $692.10. Another machine with Intel's 2nd generation Core i3. this time with 6GB RAM and weighs 1.56Kg.
- 12.5in ThinkPad X220 for $989.10 with discount. A relatively light 1.4Kg machine with Intel's 2nd generation Core i5.
We're partial to the ThinkPad T510, which is built like a truck and comes in around the $2,000 mark, which is our current A-List business laptop. But if you're budget doesn't stretch that far, then now's a good opportunity to pickup a discount on Lenovo's cheaper machines.
