Netgear N600 dual band modem router brings blistering speed to gamers
Netgear today announced the N600 (DGND3700); a gamer-friendly dual-band wireless router with inbuilt modem that will retail for $299.

The Netgear N600 (DGND3700) has been designed with HD video streaming and online gaming in mind, with the router’s dual band technology ensuring top speeds and a reliable signal. Dubbed the “Ultimate Integrated DSL Networking Gateway” it is capable of providing high-performance wireless Internet access for home users.  

The Netgear N600 (DGND3700) comes with a built-in DSL modem, five Gigabit Ethernet ports (one WAN and four LAN), 128MB of RAM, a Dual Core 400MHz processor and wireless-n connectivity (IEEE 802.11 a/n 5.0 GHz + 2.4 GHz).

Other highlights include two ReadySHARE USB ports for access to shared storage, Automatic Quality of Service (QoS), a broadband usage metre and inbuilt parental controls.

The Netgear N600 (DGND3700) has the following system requirements:

  • Broadband (cable, DSL) Internet service and modem with Ethernet connection.
  • 2.4 or 5.0 GHz 802.11a/b/g/n specification wireless adapter or an Ethernet adapter and cable for each computer.
  • Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000, Mac OS, UNIX, or Linux.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0, Firefox 2.0 or Safari 1.4 or higher.
