Lots of features, great performance, but the price brings this projector down in comparison.

A high quality projector to finish it all off, the Optoma EP739 scored respectably in just about every aspect of every test thrown at it.

The focus was great, image quality superb, and it was able to project perfect black levels – no mean feat for a projector at all. The Optoma is also the only projector here to offer a native resolution beyond 800 x 600, with 1024 x 768 as standard. This higher resolution alone helped the EP739 with projection of the PC desktop and text, but it was no slouch when throwing DVD and 3D up on the wall as well, with near-perfect DVD projection and high scores with everything else.

The only bugbear was that strictly in comparison to the other projectors the rich feature-set and performance didn't quite match the two grand cost bringing it back down to an even hundred overall.
