Wii update adds SD card support

Wii update adds SD card support
Wii update 4.0 brings support for high capacity memory cards, so more room for your downloads
Nintendo has launched a new system update for the Wii that boosts its storage capabilities from a measly 4GB to a mega 32GB, as well as adding support for direct-to-SD downloads from the Wii Shop Channel.

The update, which went live at around the same time as Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced that the console has sold 50 million units worldwide, means that users can now use SDHC cards up to 32GB in capacity to store downloadable games and other content.

The SD card menu has been updated to feature 20 screens, each with 12 channels, so with a card capacity big enough you can now cram up to 240 different games on one SDHC card.
