Great value case for the price, though nothing special to set it apart from the crowd.
The Akasa Zen is impressive for the price. It costs around $100 and, although it doesn’t really offer anything worth shouting about in terms of features, it does its job with much more quality.
The design won’t be to every taste (the transparent Perspex looks even tackier on the black version), but the quick-release catches on the optical drives are very easy to use. They don’t extend to the hard disk bays, but you get two 120mm case fans. We’d always recommend spending more than this on a case, but if you want something cheap the Zen is a good, solid choice. Availability is limited though.
