Buying the right case is highly important when building a new PC. We put five through our checks
When pricing components for a build-your-own PC, it’s easy to overlook the humble case. It isn’t powerful like a processor or as exciting as a graphics card, but setting aside enough of your budget for a good chassis can prevent years of frustration.

The cases we've looked at (see links on right) will serve you well if you're looking to build a good mid-range to top-end PC. Important features includes:

- Multiple drive bays
- Insulation to dampen noise
- quick release latches on expansion bays
- internal layouts which reduce heat spread
