Not at all bad for a first mouse, and G.Skill's efforts are likely to get even better.

There is a lot to like about G.Skill’s debut mouse. It’s solidly constructed from aluminium, has Omron switches, an 8200DPI laser sensor, 1000Hz polling and swappable side panels to make it ambidextrous. Unfortunately there are also two significant flaws with the MX780, and both of them are related to buttons. The DPI switch button is positioned directly behind the scroll wheel and sits as high as the wheel. It’s also extremely sensitive, making it all too easy to switch DPI whenever you use the mouse wheel. It’s extremely frustrating.

The thumb buttons are also poorly placed high and forward, making them awkward to access. If you can get around the random DPI switching and iffy thumb buttons, the MX780 offers excellent value for money.

If this is what G.Skill can do with a first attempt, we can’t wait to see what they do next.
