Last generation desktop performance goes mobile. While battery life and performance are improved, don't expect Ultrabook levels of endurance from this beast.

Intel has chosen an ASUS NV56 for its Core i7-3270QM review platform. Despite seeing numerous display outputs on Ivy Bridge motherboards, this laptop still has the combination of D-Sub and HDMI for graphics output.One of the advantages of the new chipsets are that they include native USB 3 support. This is especially important for mobile, where motherboard real estate limits the use of third party controllers.
