The PB2140 from BenQ is a small form-factor data projector with some excellent image nous. There seemed to be little compromise in the form-factor over image quality, with the PB2140 producing some of the best images under test. The lens focus and sharpness was good, and again this projector produced some very black dark-black levels. Its colours were much better though, with good vibrancy and no problem with contrasts or colour misregistration. We did note some mild moire problems and the white-level saturation wasn't nearly as good as it could be, but these are minor concerns.
Especially since the PB2140 aced the real-world tests, outshining even the Dell 1100MP by half a point. Highlights included a near-perfect replication of the desktop, fabulous DVD playback (if you get a chance at work) and excellent 3D and 2D projection.
The only thing that stopped this projector from taking away the award was simply a matter of pricing. While its performance was great and it was rich with features, at the end of the day the bang-for-buck of the Dell surpasses it.
